Reminiscence
This activity is great for stimulating the brain as well as socialising. Residents talk about their lives and experiences with each other and staff.
Knitting Club
Nothing’s better than sitting down and carefully working on your knitting project. Our knitting club has our residents come together and show off their masterpieces to each other. We usually see some truly gifted knitters with extravagant designs.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a fantastic health promoting exercise and we encourage our residents to take part. It combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements; its one of our most popular activities.
Virtual Reality
At Aspen Court we embrace technology and understand that if used correctly it helps improve our lives. Here, residents are able to experience virtual reality. They can go to places they’ve never been or experience something new. VR allows us to take our residents all over the world without leaving the comfort of our home.
Entertainers
Is it just us or was music better back then? Our residents think so. We host entertainers here all the time to sing and dance with the residents.
Church Services
Religion is important for some people and to cater to this we host church services for those who want to attend.
Pet Therapy
Pet therapy builds on the pre-existing human-animal bond. Interacting with a friendly pet can help many physical and mental issues. It can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health. It can also release endorphin’s that make you calm.
Many more…
Aside from these exciting activities we have many more. These range from bingo to the a walking group. At Rosewood House there’s always something to do.
